Masjid Treasurer

    White Masjid is looking for a trustworthy and detail-oriented Treasurer to oversee the financial management of the Masjid. The ideal candidate will be responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, donation tracking, and ensuring transparency in all financial matters. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health and sustainability of the Masjid.

  • Job Responsibility

    Key Responsibilities

    ✅ Financial Oversight & Budgeting

    • Manage and oversee the Masjid’s financial transactions, expenses, and income.
    • Prepare monthly and annual budgets in coordination with the Masjid leadership.
    • Ensure financial planning aligns with Masjid projects and community needs.

    ✅ Donation & Fund Management

    • Maintain accurate records of donations, Zakat, and Sadaqah funds.
    • Develop fundraising strategies to support Masjid operations and expansion.
    • Ensure secure handling of all funds and proper allocation based on Islamic guidelines.

    ✅ Financial Reporting & Compliance

    • Prepare regular financial reports for the Masjid board and community updates.
    • Ensure compliance with local laws, tax regulations, and nonprofit financial requirements.
    • Maintain transparent and organized records for audits and reviews.

    ✅ Community Engagement & Transparency

    • Keep the community informed about financial health and initiatives.
    • Encourage responsible spending and donation practices.
    • Assist with financial decision-making for Masjid projects and expansions.

  • Educational Requirement

    Qualifications & Requirements

    ✔ Educational & Professional Background:

    • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
    • Experience in financial management, bookkeeping, or nonprofit accounting.

    ✔ Skills & Experience:

    • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
    • Familiarity with financial software, QuickBooks, or spreadsheet tools.
    • Understanding of Islamic financial principles related to Masjid operations.
    • Experience in fundraising and grant management (preferred).

    ✔ Personal Qualities:

    • Trustworthy, ethical, and committed to financial integrity.
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
